Abstract

The Tongan National Conference is the largest Conference of 12 Conferences from the CALD Communities who are members of the Uniting Church in Australia. It was the first to be formed in 1987, after the Uniting Church declared itself as a Multicultural Church in 1985. The Thesis explores the role of this Conference although it is not recognised as a Council of the Uniting Church.
