Research output: Book chapter/Published conference paperChapter

Abstract

At the end of the 2006 national conference for the Centre for Ageing and Pastoral Studies (CAPS), there was a high level of excitement among the participants, and recognition for within the group that spiritual and pastoral care are important human needs. There seemed to be a consensus from the participants that they needed to find a way forward that could lead to better care and education and research in the area of ageing and spirituality. The planning committee for the 2008 conference considered the feedback and issues raised at the 2006 conference. The chapter recounts the story of the search conference that formed the second half of the 2008 national conference.
