Abstract

Young people have been a homelessness policy priority in Australia since the 1980s. Early intervention and support to access education, training and/or employment is about ensuring that young people achieve a sustainable livelihood and do not experience life-long disadvantage. The idea of packaging support, accommodation and participation in education, training and/or employment is the core concept of the 'foyer' model.
