THE WIZARD OF OZ directed by John Saunders for the University Theatre Ensemble and was performed at the Riverina Playhouse from the 9th. October to the 23rd. of October 2010. THE WIZARD OF OZ is the musical fairy-tale that wins the hearts and minds of both children and adults alike and is a constant family favourite for new generations. Let's follow Dorothy down the Yellow Brick Road to meet the amazing midget Munchkins, Glinda the Good Witch and the Wizard in Emerald City. Join the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion to help Dorothy defeat the Wicked Witch of the West. Dorothy muses, 'If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why oh why can't I?' So why can't you? Be part of the OZ fantasy of fun for all the family, for we all remember; 'Over the Rainbow', 'We're off to see the Wizard', 'Follow the Yellow Brick Road', 'Ding-Dong the Witch is Dead', and 'If I Only had a Brain'? If we don't remember the songs, it will be memorable to hear them for the first time.
