    Abstract

The work examined in this project is the process of training and devising the show Titanomachy and the performance."Titanomachy is scripted narrative-driven physical work of theatre beginning development in Bathurst, Australia in July 2010. Using the story of the ancient Greek creation myth of the war between the Titans and the Olympians, Titanomachy follows the story of Gaea, the earth, who throughout the myth struggles against a number of oppressing forces just to survive.Exploring how contemporary generations being disconnected from nature has led to current global environment issues, the work will be produced in Bathurst in 27-29th April 2011.Those who wage war against the earth herself are doomed to lose: her death is our death, but our doom will be our own."
