Abstract
To live a full and free life with others in God's world is the human project par excellence. There is a dynamism to such a way of life which is beautifully narrated in the Emmaus road story of Luke's gospel. In this story we are offered three critical strands for an ongoing and open-ended discipleship. These strands - word, sacrament and witness - are the focus for this essay and an appropriate conclusion for the reflections of this book.
