The research question: What is the US integrated deterrence strategy, and how does it impact its security partners in the Indo-Pacific region? To answer the question, the authors first define what the US integrated strategy entails, followed by an analysis of two case studies-Taiwan and the Bay of Bengal; both are in two different geographical locations, one in the West Pacific Ocean and another in the Indian Ocean.
