Abstract
Do you question if students can demonstrate their knowledge, and application and evaluation skills using traditional assessment methods? After marking a written assessment do you wish you could ask students more questions to allow them to reflect on and engage with the material you have taught? These were questions we asked ourselves in teaching nutrition to our students at Charles Sturt University (CSU). In this workshop we demonstrate how we used Interactive Oral Assessment (IOA) in 2021 and guide participants through the thinking process of developing, implementing and evaluating this style of assessment in their own discipline.
