    Abstract

Wangaratta National Contemporary Textile Exhibition June 4 - July 17 2011This exhibition was a nationally selected, curated, invitation only survey of contemporary Australian textiles. The original major creative visual-art work was selected by Anthony Camm, Director of Ararat Regional Art Gallery and Diane Mangan, Director Wangaratta Exhibitions Gallery, on the basis of the work proposed and an artist's research statement. The inclusion of the work in the exhibition entitled, 'mise en abyme' contributes to the field of textile art and is one of a series of works as part of on-going research, toward my current PhD candidature at CSU, 'Temporary Alignments: beautiful fictions and fragile facts hidden in plain view'
