Abstract
There has been limited exposure to the lecturer's voice in regard to possible changes in the roles of academics through the application of different pedagogies and emerging technology. Most research and community discussion has focused on student experiences and the application of emerging technologies by "'innovators and early adopters' often focusing on the introduction of an innovation in a unit" (Hanson, 2005, p. 557). There is a need for this voice to be heard to create an environment that engages existing lecturers and evaluates the constitution of the future lecturers.
