Abstract

This is the first US edition of my picture book 'WRONG WAY', edited for the American market. 'WRONG WAY'is a 32 page picture book for early childhood readers. the text is illustrated in full colour by the Australian illustrator Judith Rossell. The narrative focuses on the one duckling in a family that will not co-operate. While his siblings obey their mother, he insists on going off by himself and breaking the rules. Then one day he finds himself out in the middle of the pond, with metres of dark, deep water below. He is so frightened by the experience of isolation that he gladly falls into line with his mother's wishes - but only up to a point.
